NOTE! since creating this tutorial a bug was discovered in the camera exporter that “screws up” the camera in AE when using “non square” pixels. So if you’re creating footage for ntsc, dv or other wise, ALWAYS use “square” pixels. You can find this setting under the render settings/ output options/ pixel fields. make sure they are both set to 1. In this tutorial I have you set them to .9 : 1. Your frame size should be 720x540. If your final destination is in fact DV then you’ll need to squash your footage to 720x486, and then crop 3 pixels off the top and bottom. this can be accomplished in the after effects output module.
